A trip to Clearwater, Florida

This past week, Noel and I had the chance to fly down to Clearwater, Florida and check out Clearwater Christian College. Dr. Dave Burggraff, the VP for Spiritual Formation at the college, worked it out for us to come with a few other pastors to check out the college and see what God is doing there. It was a fun trip. We got to see the beach, the school, some old friends and teachers, and just be together. The kids stayed home with Shane and Sjanie Medhurst. They are neighbors, fellow church members and Shane is Noel's business partner in real estate. All in all, it was a great trip. Don't forget to look at the pictures at the bottom of the blog.

One prayer request: Mike's cousin, Julie DeVries, had emergency open heart surgery this Thursday night. She is goind OK considering, but she has a long way to go in recovery. She professes to know the Lord and would appreciate your prayers.

Hope you had a good week too for Christ's sake,

MJD,Sr.

My oldest daughter graduated and my youngest daughter (ten years apart) and I can say they do a great job, not only academically, but spiritually and helping them get ready to work in the world.
You will really be pleased with this college, one of the best.

Thanks for the encouragement. If you don't me asking, who is "MomJ"?

That is me, Mom Joann. I'm from New Hampshire, but do not want to put my entire name on the web. If there is a way to do it privately, that would be okay.
My youngest son attended CCC for a year but was bored. He's a in Navy, and is no longer bored. My oldest son graduated w/masters at (Ambassador)and is helping in a church.

I know Dave Burggraff's younger brother Leroy (pronounced "lay-waugh" like the former goalie for the Nordiques, er Avs, just ask Phil) is a great coordinator for the ushers here at 4th. Glad to hear you had a good trip.
